| Our research experience in common with Russian scientific traditions and modern research methods give us opportunity to solve the majority of applied and theoretical problems of radiobiology and hygiene of non-ionizing radiation. |

Yuri Grigoriev Dr. Med. Sc., Professor Head of CEMS Research Department, Chairman of Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, member of International Advising Committee of WHO EMF project, IEEE member, BEMS member. |
Center for Electromagnetic Safety historically was based on State Research Center - Institute of Biophysics of Russian Ministry of Health, so the research activity became the traditional one. The main research directions are: radiobiology and hygiene of electromagnetic fields and non-ionizing radiation; occupational EMF safety; biotechnological and medical EMF applications; electromagnetic ecology; research of processes in complex modern systems of 0.4 kV electric power supply and electric installations in buildings; development of scientific methodologies and regulative documents.
CEMS and SRC - Institute of Biophysics have developed and implemented the applied method for assessment of EMF effect using the biological model. The method could be used for objective expertise of efficiency of EMF protection means and express-assessment of the potential hazard of from different EMF sources including mobile phones. The method was tested (including international programs) in 2003 and was recommended by expert commission.
Center for Electromagnetic Safety keeps scientific and organizational activities. The permanent Secretariat of Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection is based on CEMS; the activities are also coordinated via WHO International EMF Project. CEMS regularly co-organizes national conferences and workshops on electromagnetic safety. CEMS specialists are regularly involved in report and expertise for Federal Executive and Legislative Power Authorities (profile committees of State Duma (Parliament), former Russian Ministries of Health, Natural Resources, Labor and Social Development, and some other agencies).
We would like to propose the realization of researches, tests using technical and research abilities available in CEMS.
